What is Buy Now?
When a seller enables Buy Now on a listing, buyers will be able to reserve & pay for the item instantly! Once the item sells, sellers will be given 24 hours to accept or decline the sale. If the sale is accepted, the buyer & seller can then message each other to coordinate pickup. Once it's confirmed that the buyer is in possession of the item, the funds will be deposited in the seller's bank account! Easy peasy!
Is there a fee?
Absolutely zero fees for the seller! The buyer will pay a Buyer Protection fee of $2.25 + 10% of the value of the item. This covers credit card processing fees and the escrow period, in which we will securely hold your funds until the item is safely in your possession.
What is Buyer Protection?
Allhers promotes a safe buying and selling experience for all. When you purchase an item through Buy Now, you are automatically covered by our Buyer Protection program. Buyer Protection is applied to all Buy Now purchases to ensure the seller only receives payment once you have received your purchase. Our fees are simple: $2.25 + 10% of the value of the item. This covers credit card processing fees and the escrow period, in which we will securely hold your funds until the item is safely in your possession.
With Buyer Protection, we'll issue a refund if you never receive your item or the item is damaged or significantly misrepresented by the seller. Make sure you inspect the item for damage before accepting it.
Please note: You must make your claim before clicking the "I have received the item" button on the transaction page. If no claim is made before buyer confirmation, payment will automatically be released to the seller. Once payment has been released, all sales are final and no refunds will be provided.
If you never receive your item for whatever reason, we'll offer you a full refund without any fees.
What is NOT covered in the Buyer Protection Fee?
Item does not fit / wrong size / changed my mind: Please make sure to get all the information you need before purchasing including (but not limited to) dimensions, size, photos / videos of any damage or imperfections. Unfortunately we cannot provide a refund for any of these reasons. You can, however, relist the item on Allhers!
Item is too far from me: Please make sure to check the description & confirm pickup location with the seller before making your purchase. You can also get it delivered using our door-to-door delivery service!
Items damaged during pick-up or delivery: At this time we do not offer a delivery service; therefore, any issues that arise from items damaged during delivery are to be worked out between the buyer, seller and the delivery service.
Trades or Offline Transactions: the Allhers Buyer Protection Fee only applies to items purchased through the Buy Now button.
How do I get paid out as a seller?
Allhers uses Stripe to handle incoming payment from buyers and payouts to sellers.
Once you list your first item with Buy Now enabled, you will be redirected to a payout screen where you can enter your bank details with Stripe.
After your item sells:
If the item is picked up by the buyer or you use a third-party delivery service, both the buyer and the seller will be prompted to mark the item as received by the buyer. Once the buyer has marked the item as received, Stripe will automatically release the payment to the seller's bank account. If the seller marks the item as received before the buyer, the payment will be released as soon as the buyer confirms or 72 hours from the time the seller marks it as received - whichever comes first!
Please note: your first payout may take 5-10 business days to reach your bank account. All payouts thereafter will take approximately 1-4 business days to reach your bank account.
Is my bank & credit card information safe?
Absolutely! All bank and payment information is processed by Stripe, not Allhers. Stripe is a certified PCI Service Provider Level 1 (the most stringent security level of certification available to the payments industry). Many large companies you already trust with your payments also use Stripe: Amazon, Apple, Etsy, Target, Chewy, Poshmark, etc.
What happens if a seller doesn't accept the sale?
The seller has 24 hours to accept the sale before it automatically expires. If a seller declines a sale or the sale offer expires before a seller accepts, the buyer's card will not be charged and the hold placed on the buyer's card will be released. The seller's item will be automatically marked as sold, as we will assume it's unavailable.
What happens if a buyer is unresponsive after purchasing my item?
If a buyer does not respond to the seller for 7 days from the date of the purchase to coordinate pickup, the sale will automatically be canceled and the buyer will be charged an Inconvenience Fee of 10% of the item price, out of respect for the seller. The Buyer Protection fee will not be refunded.
Can I cancel my purchase?
Out of respect for the seller, we do not allow cancellations after you've made your purchase. If you have any questions regarding the item, please make sure you message the seller to ask BEFORE making your purchase. If you're having an issue with your purchase you can submit a claim on the item message screen or through support@forallhers.com.
Are sales taxes included?
Sales taxes will not automatically be collected through Allhers or Stripe.
What if I want to report an issue?
You can report an issue through the item message screen or by emailing support@forallhers.com.
Will I receive a 1099?
Professional sellers who register as a business and sell $600 or more through Buy Now in a single year may receive a 1099 tax form.
